Bolivia Santa Cruz Attractions And Things To Do
Santa Cruz is one of the most tropical cities I have never visit. First founded in 1561. Is Bolivia’s largest city with 1.5 million people and the best city to visit during your holidays to Bolivia. Santa Cruz is also known as Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The city originally served as a supplier of rice, cotton and fruits for the rest Spain's South American colony. Santa Cruz originally lay 220 km east of its current location, on the shores of the Piraí river. But, by the end of the 16th century, the city was moved to its present position, 50 km east of the Cordillera Oriental foothills. Unlike La Paz, Santa Cruz doesn't have so much history or a charming historic area. Santa Cruz is also looks more like a Meditaranian place lost in the tropical jangle and certainly is not where you’ll find the Bolivia you see in pictures.

It’s the hemisphere’s highest, most isolated and most rugged nation at 3600m. La Paz Bolivia has some bizarre attractions and things to do, from street markets selling dried frogs to a cocaine museum, most of the streets are steep and narrow. Oxygen-deprived visitors will notice locals chewing native coca leaves or making them into teas. Although the poorest country in South America, but it’s also one of the richest in terms of natural resources. No other major South American city holds on to its past so firmly. I like markets everywhere in the world and Rio have many interesting markets. The multitude of things, the mix of people and the direct contact with the merchants is the reason why I like markets. Some of the best markets in Rio are: The Sunday Market in Ipanema or Hippie Fair, The Night Market in Copacabana and the Feira Nordestina São Cristóvão. In this post we will find out everything about Ipanema Hippie Market. If you are looking for a place to find your quintessential souvenir of your visit to Brazil, this is an excellent place to try. Ipanema Hippiie Market is the best market that we was found all over Rio de janeiro. This market was much bigger and better than we had expected, clothing, leather shoes, handicrafts, jewelry and impressive artwork are all available in abundance. Prices were very reasonable, and all merchants were willing to give you a bargain. Rio's Hippie Fair is set up on a large city square.
Cristo Redentor in Rio is the ethnic symbol of Brazil. From anywhere in Rio, you can see Christ the Redeemer looking at you from the mountain top of Corcovado. The statue represents Jesus standing with outstretched, welcoming arms. The best way to going there is by the Corcovado train. Funicular trains depart every half-hour, daily 8:30 am-6:30 pm. The Corcovado Railway was the first eletricfied Brazilian railroad. Opened in October 9th, in 1884 by the Emperor D. Pedro II, it’s even older than the monument of Christ rendentor its self. The train crosses the largest urban forest in the world: the National Park of Tijuca. When you reach the top of Corcovado Rio you can enjoy one of the best views of Rio De Janeiro. The famous giant statue of Christ stands 38 meters high, covered in a mosaic of soapstone and weighs 635 tonnes.
The easier way to visit Santa Teresa is by taxi. Otherwise you have to change buses and walk a lot. Santa Teresa is one of the places that you have to visit if you are person that loves arts. Located on a hill behind Lapa, close to the city center. By day, Santa Teresa is a great place to pick up some arty knick-knacks and enjoy a bite to eat in one of the many traditional restaurants. Is probably the most bohemian of all the neighbourhoods of Rio de Janeiro. You can walk along the old houses and watch artists at their work. The neighborhood was named after the Santa Tereza Church and Convent. Santa Teresa's recent history has been marked by the struggle to maintain its cultural and historical identity in face of real estate pressures and other disaggregating factors, such as urban violence in Rio. As you walk on the curvaceous streets of Santa Teresa Rio you have to remind to your self that you are in South America, not Europe.
Brazil is one of the most beautiful countries I have never visit. Is so big that shares a border with almost every other country in South America. It is the fifth largest country in the world and the biggest country in South America. Brazil is the only Latin American nation that derives its language and culture from Portugal. The Portuguese were the first European settlers to arrive in the area, led by the adventurous Pedro Cabral. The immigrant Portuguese language was greatly influenced by the numerous local Indian and African slaves dialects, but it remains the dominant language in Brazil today. Rio de Janeiro is one of the most spectacular and most famous cities in Brazil. Known to Brazilians as "Cidade Maravilhosa" that means (The Wonderful City).
