Phuket
covers an area of 570 square kilometers
is linked to the mainland by a bridge.
The island is about the size of Singapore, with some
40kms of beautiful beaches,
invites beach lovers with an exciting mix of stunning
coastline, excellent hotels, fantastic diving and day trips.
Of all Thai islands, Phuket is the largest and one of the
most beautiful, Phuket has become a
favorite destination for tourists that visit Southeast Asia. Whether
participating in water sports or clubbing across Patong Beach.
Each year, over 6 million visitors arrive here to visit this
beautiful island. What makes this such a great destination year
after year is the great exchange rate. Some would argue that
Phuket's development as an international destination has made it a
little less exotic.
Patong Beach
Patong
has turned from a fishing village into one of the island's
best cities.
Is on the western side of the island and is
the most famous beach resort on Phuket. Is a Mecca for visitors all over the world. Many of
Phuket’s
best hotels can be found directly across the road from the beach.
Central Patong is a busy commercial centre.
The
tropical beach is 4 km long deep inside a protective bay,
ringed with high green lush green mountains.
Is beautiful white sand beach edged by the
glittering Andaman Sea.

Kata / Karon
Beach
KARON
is only about 5km south of Patong. The
beach is a popular destination for tourists,
especially popular for
Scandinavian tourists, with many businesses catering especially to
them. Karon is a long, gently curving
beach with small sand dunes and a few palms and casuarina trees.
Is the second largest of Phuket’s principal tourist beaches.
The southern point has a fine coral reef stretching toward Kata and Poo Island. Restaurants, bars, and
tour companies are
concentrate
at the north end. The smallest of Phuket’s three main tourist
beaches, Kata beach has uique structure in appearance and style from
Karon or Patong. Kata's main attraction is its curving wide sandy
beach, providing masses of room to accommodate water sports.
Nai Harn Beach

Beach

Rawai Beach Rawai Beach is at
the southern tip of Phuket island and is favoured by tourists and
locals looking for a quiet unhurried pace of life. Here you will
find traditional long-tail boats and modern speedboats for hire.

a quiet little spot at the southern end of
Phuket. Nai Harn Beach
is home to the
Phuket Yacht Club. The Buddhist monastery
Samnak Song Nai Harn is centred here. Is
home to many foreign expats and therefore has an intimate feel to
its nightlife.

Patong
Nightlife
If you are
looking for nightlife in Phuket. Patong is the best choice. The road runs perpendicular to the beach
road towards the northern end of Patong. Apart from the noisy bars
located in the busy Soi Bangla, but there also quiet cocktail lounges
accessible in Patong area. Most of these bars play Latin jazz music
or simply feature hip piano bars. Nightlife in
phuket is more expensive compeers to Koh Samui and Pattaya.
The name "Patong"
is funny and means "the forest full of Banana leaves.
