Koh
Pha Ngan In General
Koh
Pha Ngan
Is a part of the
group of islands that make up the Samui Archipelago.
Is
the nearest island to Samui and
it
is about 100 km from Surat Thani Province and about 15 km from Koh
Samui Island. The island of
Koh
Phangan is one of
Thailand's true tropical gems. Blessed with golden
beaches, secluded bays,
mountains and tropical forest.
However, this is also a
very hip place to be as the island hosts the world famous, and
perhaps the biggest beach party on this planet, the full moon party
on Haad Rin.
Today Koh Pha Ngan
offers some first class accommodation in a whole variety of
bungalows and hotels that make Phangan a must place to visit.
Had Yao
Beach
Had Yao or "Long Beach" is
one of the most beautifull beaches on
Koh Pha Ngan.
Located on Koh Pha Ngan north
western side.
Had Yao has developed over the
years in harmony with the beautiful surroundings.
This beach is one of the most inviting in the region.
You will also find many good
accommodations and restaurant facilities here.
The rich coral reef that surrounds the south and west coast
of the island is a haven for marine life and the stretch that runs
from Ao Chao Phao up to Koh Ma.
Koh Ma is between 1 and 20 m deep
making it a fantastic site for all levels of diver.

Phaeng
Waterfall
One
of the largest waterfall on Phangan is Phaeng and you can get there
by walking on the steep mountain path. Phaeng Waterfall
National Park is located in the village of Ban Madua Wan.
The waterfall is of course more visually attractive after
rainy weather. To reach Phaeng Waterfall,
we’d completed a 250m long walk in the jungle’s friendly trail. The waterfall pool was good for refreshing, albeit
too small for swimming.
Haad Rin Beach/Town
Haad
Rin is the most popular spot on Koh Phangan.
Haad Rin is a peninsular
beach area and town on the southern tip of Ko Pha Ngan.
The beach is over one kilometre in length and was one of the
first visited by travellers escaping
Koh Samui over 20 years ago.
During the day the beach is full of sun-worshippers, soaking
up rays and getting ready for the night ahead.
The streets on Haad Rin is pact
with young western backpackers
crowding the streets, watching movies and sitcoms in the restaurants
by day and partying till they drop come the evening.

Full Moon Party
Once upon longtime ago,
in 1987.
The
first full moon party was held It
came about as a farewell party for the friend of the owner of
Paradise Bungalow on full moon night. The party was set around a
fire, and there 50 people joined this celebration. Tourists who
passed the fire area were invited to the party, which was such a
success that the regular full moon party began the following month.
The party is full-on enjoyment, and over the years tourists who have
joined the fun have been so impressed that they’ve told their
friends, as a result of this word of moth, there are an increasing
number of visitors attending the monthly party every year.
