In General
 Koh Chang
is the largest among the 52 islands of
Trat, it is also the nation's second
largest island, after Phuket. Is a
tropical marine national park. Its hinterland consists of over 70%
virgin rainforest and is one of the best
preserved tourist holiday destination in Thailand.
In recent years the island has
become more popular with travelers and Thai people alike.
Located to the
east of the country in the province of Trat on the Cambodian border.
Accommodation on the island ranges from simple beach huts
and bungalows to luxury villas, suites and apartments.
If you drive, you can hire motorbikes, jeeps and cars to
take you to any of the beaches along the coastal roads.

Chang offers activities for beach lovers
Its pristine white sand beaches are perfect for swimming, sun-bathing,
or snorkelling.
The best beaches are on the western side of the
island. Chang Noi beach is just off the pier but most head
straight to White Sand Beach which is favoured by most
visitors. Haad Sai
Kao or White Sand Beach.
Is a beautiful sandy
beach at the northern end of Ko Changs west coast. It is about 2.5
kilometres long and lined by rocks, over-hanging palms and broad-leaved
trees. White
Sand Beach can be reached from the piers in approximately 15 minutes
by taxi for 30 Baht.
Pearl Beach
is situated between Klong Prao Beach in the
south and White Sand Beach in the north,
Some very nice bungalow resorts here with sunset views but the only
thing the area lacks is a sandy beach.
Klong Prao Beach is scarcely a 3,5
kilometre long sand beach, situated south of White Sand Beach. The
beach is divided into 3 sections by 2 river estuaries: the Khlong
Plu in the north and the Klong Prao in the south.
Lonely Beach is
approximately a 1 kilometre-long beautiful picture postcard
 beach on
Ko Chang. It is the northern part of Bai Lan Bay but due to its
popularity it is introduced on its own page.
For many people Lonely Beach is the most beautiful beach on
the entire island. Bai Lan Bay is
approximately 2.5 kilometres long and is situated at the southern
end of the west coast, below Kai Bae Beach.
Ko Chang Nightlife
 Koh Chang
nightlife and Bar scene is constantly developing.
There
are Plenty of cafes,
beach bars, beer bars, pubs and clubs and
can be found in almost every beach, especially the popular ones like
White Sand Beach, Klong Prao and Lonely beach, the latter being the
hub for full-and half-moon parties held on a regular basis.
Nightlife in
White Sand Beach is probably the most happening of all the beaches
on Koh Chang.
