Chiang Mai To Chiang Rai
Northern Thailand
 Chiang mai the amazing City
of Thailand. Chiang Mai means new city
and is the gateway to
the northern Thailand, is Thailand's largest city after
Bangkok. Located on plain, surrounding by mountains and is also
blessed, with pristine natural resorts, technical parks and farms. We visit many of them and will going to the best places from
Chiang mai to the way to Chiang rai.
Monkey Farm
 The first place
that we visit was
near
Chiang mai, the monkey farm, that I was really surprise
with the talents of this clever animal. The monkeys, are very
similar with
the humans, with the respect, that have the same hands and
fingers. They
are more cultivate, compare with the other animals. We separate monkeys in to a 2 types. The new monkeys for the world,
and the old. The new monkeys they live in the center of south
America and the old in Asia and Africa. The different with the old
monkeys is that the nostrils are linked and that they have 32
teeth's like the humans.
Cave Temple
 Somewhere,
in the middle of the way
to the Chiang rai is the cave temples. One place that the
status of Buddha are company with stalagmites for many years. This
rock is look so much like Buddha that the monks call it the slipping
Buddha. In the end of the temple is symbolized the death of Buddha.
Big Buddha
 Close to Chiang rai is the temple
of big Buddha the name of the temple is derived
it from the huge
statue that is created there, is about 12 meters
high. But is time to
remove from
Chiang rai and I will go 35 miles north of
Chiang mai city to the Mai Pink river.
Ta Yaak Village
 The Ta yaak village is
in chiang dao district north of
Chiang mai city. Is on the banks of Mai pink river.
The place has been constructer use in mostly nature materials, if
you take an elephant ride you pass from a beautiful forest
and thru the river.
Chiang Dao elephant training center has also a small
Lizu market where you can buy handicrafts make by the Lizu hill
tribe. But is the time to explore 2 of the most important
tribes that living in Thailand.
Karen
 The first
tribe, that we visit, was the famous long-neck,
Karen.
Pantuan the tribe of the hills that the women's wear rings on
them neck, is not individual tribe but they belong in a group
of
Karen and they have come from the mountains of Burma.
The
Thai government help them to move here, so they can escape from the
pressing political system of Burma. They create Palong village
on the valley of Mai Hong Sonk. The population that living
in
gold triangle is about 485 people. The rings that the women's
wear, they get down the solders more that they make higher them
neck.
Akha
 Gold triangle
is called like this because here is the biggest plantation of opium in
the world. Here they live the forgotten nomadic tribe of Akha
that is on them tradition for many years now to smoke opium.
Akha people they don't have a religion they call them legends
way of Akha and they learn them from generations to
generations. Akha tribe is polygamy and they say that they
prefer the simply way of living.
