The church houses a magnificent Baroque silver altarpiece, which was made by craftsmen from Jujuy, is embellished with an Inca sun and other pre-Hispanic details. The Recoleta cemetery it self is like a small village with narrow streets surrounded by monuments, memorials, mausoleums. Dont forget to visit Plaza Francia on weekends. In Plaza Francia indie rock and reggae musicians congregate here on saturday.
