Chinatown
China Town Guide
Chinese people have the
magic to creating towns all over the world. One of the best China
town is it here in
Singapore and is always interesting because they have cheap
markets and tasty food. Is located at the South Bridge Road. The idea of a
Singapore Chinatown was first conceived by Sir Stamford Raffles, Stamford developed
a plan to group the Chinese immigrants from China together for work
and housing. In the early
1800's, was the site of many brothels and opium dens.
Today the streets in China town are full of yang artists that
they show them talents with many ways.

What The New Age Traveler Says...?
Singapore China
town
Guide.
Chinatown is one of the
landmarks of Singapore
and is
one of the best Chinatowns I have see an till now.
Singapore Chinatown evolved around 1821 when the first
Chinese junk arrived from Xiamen, Fujian province.
Originally
created by the British, who placed various Chinese immigrants.
Is
subdivided into 4 parts:
Kreta Ayer,
Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar and Bukit Pasoh.
Its
also a very good place to look for a cheep
hotel.
For me
Chinatown is one
of the places that is must when you visit Singapore.
