France - Paris
In General

Paris is known as
The City of
Lights. And is
also known as one of the most romantic destinations in the
world.
But Paris is something more than that.
Paris is one of the best travel
destinations
to see the culture of Europe, especially About art.
The
fashion of Paris is well known around the world, many famous fashion
designers make their events in this city. Is
located in Ξle-de-France region, on the Seine river.
The Paris region is the France's center of economic activity.
Because its cultural life and intellectual
preeminance and also for its beautiful appearance. The French
capital is one of the most wonderful cities around the world.
A full 90 percent
of Parisians claim to be of the Roman Catholic faith. However, as in
any large metropolis, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, and Protestant
Christian faiths are represented. There are many Protestant churches
as well as Jewish synogogues, the most renowned being the Rothschild
Synogogue. Church plays very important
role in paris culture, Paris was a
Christian centre at an early date, its first
apostles being St. Denis and his companions, Sts.
Rusticus and
Eleutherius. Until
the Revolution the ancient tradition of the
Parisian Church commemorated the seven stations
of St. Denis, the stages of his apostolate and
martyrdom.

Montmartre
- Place du Tertre
Place
du Tertre was the main place of the Village of Montmartre,
Actually is the heart and soul of Montmartre. Now, it is a small square place occupied by the outside tables of
the restaurants and bistrots and by the artists.
The Place du Tertre is
a reminder of the time when Montmartre was setting the trend of
modern art: at the beginning of the 20th century, many
pennyless painters, including Pablo Picasso and
Utrillo,
were living there. This cobblestone
square is Montmartre rises out of the flatness of Paris with its
myriad of small streets.
Sacre-Coeur
Montmartre
rises
on a hill 130 meters high.
There are 2
highest points in the city where you can see whole city central part.
The first is Tour Eiffel, and the second
is Sacre Coeur Basilica. Sacre Coeur
is mean Sacred Heart.
The church is resplendent in bright
white, and stands out as one of the most beloved landmarks in all of
Paris. Constructed late 19th and early 20th centuries.
In the interior of the temple the Saboyarde stands out, one of the
worldwide biggest bells weighing 18 tons.
Sacre Coeur
for me is the most beautiful church in Paris. The
exterior of the basilica is built in the Roman Byzantine style from
Travertine stone and one of the very first things that you will
notice are the bronze statues of Joan of Arc and King Saint Louis
IX.

Pigalle
Entertainment
District
Paris
offers one of the peppiest nightlifes in the world. The city goes
wild and zippy during nights.
The city is full of
Bars, Pubs, and lavish nightclubs.
One of the most
authentic and relaxing
nightspot in Paris is Pigalle. Is located
just under the Butte Montmartre.
When the sun goes down, the place is taken
over by the young locals who go there to drink.
Pigalle is
still synonymous with the stage shows of the mythical cabaret
theatres, the Moulin Rouge, Folies Bergères and Lido.
Pigalle has always been Paris' night spot
is teaming with life
and the magical atmosphere of
Pigalle is still alive.
Notre - Dame Cathedral
No
other building represents the history of
Paris more than Notre-Dame.
Notre Dame ranks as one of France's finest examples of Gothic
architecture.
When Pope Alexander
The III that laid the
first stone in 1163, marking the start of
two centuries of toil by armies of Gothic architects and medieval
craftsmen. It was restored and saved from
destruction by Viollet-le-Duc, one of France's most famous
architects. And even today it is still used as a Roman Catholic
cathedral and is the seat of the Archbishop of Paris.

The
Eiffel Tower
The
Eiffel Tower is the global icon
of France. Is
a wonder of design and structure,
and is the most visited
monument in the world. Since its construction in
1887.
The Eiffel Tower was visited
by more than 200 million people.
Built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle (World Fair),
held to commemorate the centennial of the Revolution.
The Eiffel Tower tops out at over 1,000 feet,
containing 2 restaurants, a souvenir shop, a post office,
a snack bar, and a viewing area.
Arc de Triomphe
The
dead of two world wars are remembered in Paris with a ceremony
during which the President and others lay wreaths at the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe. Is recognized as a symbol
of Parisian pomp and elegance around the globe.
Erected by the Emperor Napoleon in
1806 to commemorate France's military prowess.
was designed by the
architect Jean Chalgrin, and stands over 51m in height and is 45m
wide. The monument is the second largest triumphal arch in
existence, and its design was originally inspired by the Roman Arch
of Titus.
