Nepal - Pokhara
Kathmandu to Pokhara
There is daily bus services from
Kathmandu to Pokhara. Pokhara is situated 200 klm west
from Kathmandu is about 6 to 7 hours bus ride and is a great
opportunity
also
to see
the country site. In
the way to
Pokhara we meet Pasad one Nepali guy that later on he was our
guide in Nepal Pokhara. We stop 2 times on the way for food
and after 3 hours ride we was finale in our destination.
Hotels - Guest Houses
In Pokhara
there are plenty of hotels and guest houses, the hotels prices are
around 10 to 30 dollars. Pasad the Nepali guy he found as a
guest house with 7 dollars per night.

Pokhara
Pokhara
is the next destination after Kathmandu. Is often called the
enchanting Himalayan valley or city of lakes, is blessed with extreme natural beauty surrounded by beautiful
snow-caped mountains.
The Lakeside or
Baidam where all the tourists hang out is the
favourite home base for travellers. It have the largest number
of hotels and guesthouses and is filled with restaurants, bookshops handicraft shops travel agencies, bicycle rentals and
so on. The population here is often dominated by foreigners.
Nepal Pokhara has also some interesting places to hang out chic
bars, pubs with pool tables and a few disco dance clubs.

Phewa Lake
The name Pokhara is derived from the word Pokhari that in Nepali
means lake. Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal is the
largest and most beautiful of the three lakes in Pokhara is the ideal place for
relaxation, boating and meditation.

Barahi Temple
The
Barahi Temple is in the middle of the Phewa Lake is the most important monument in Pokhara.
Barahi temple is
dedicated to Ajima, a protecting deity that represents the
female force Shakti.

DEVIL FALL
The best way to see pokhara is to rent motorbike, motorbike
is cost for rent around 10 dollars, two kilometres southwest of Pokhara Airport on the Siddharta
Highway is the
Patale Chhango that in English means
under ground fall, In 31 of July in 1961 it happens and accident
that change the name of this waterfall for ever, a Swiss trekker
named David ,mysteriously fell down into a canal of
Pardi Khola, the outflow from Phewa Lake and was never
found, David
waterfall, named in his memory by the people of Pokhara.

Tashiling - Refugee Camp
Tashiling
is in the south past after Patale Chhango The
Tibetan people living in this village keep theme selves busy
by producing and trading woollen carpets and other handicraft items.
Today is the day that His Holiness Dalai Lama won worldwide praise
the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize. And all of the village is
here celebrating together with games and transport them on religious
messages.
Tashi Palikhiel - Refugee Camp
Tashi Palikhiel is North of
Nepal Pokhara at a place called Hyangja. In the Pokhara there
are at least 4 Tibetan refugee camps Tashi Palkhel is the
best because is offering most Tibetan culture. The village
have monastery, school and a variety of handicraft shops. I went
around the village but the most of the people was all ready in the
community hall for the celebrate Dalai Lama Nobel Peace Prize. In
the community hall they was offering free dalbat vegetarian meal and
a really traditional Tibetan show. The
Tibetan people they are very positive sweet and soft and in
general they are really open mind. For me the journey in Nepal
it was a journey in knowledge there that the Buddhism and Hindu
religion living and meditate together.
