In General
When I arrive in Nepal I was so
enthusiastic. I have read so much about the
Lamaism Buddhism, a Buddhism that have a history more than
1400 years. The main reason that I'm in Nepal is because in 7 days
from now is the day that Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize and
I'm going to celebrated it with the Tibetans in refuges camps.
Kathmadu Thamel
My first move
when I come in Kathmandu, was to rent a hotel in Thamel. There are dozens of hotels, bars and tourist
restaurants clustered in the Thamel
district. Thamel is a nice place to stay and is in center of
Kathmandu, but because it is built up for tourists, is not
offering local culture.

Budhanilkantha
Located a few miles northwest of Kathmandu
in the town of Balaju is dedicated to
Lord Vishnu, Jalasayana, lying on Ananta Sesa, in the cosmic
ocean. As one of the largest
sculptures in Nepal, Budhanilkantha
is worshiped devoutly, and there are usually A lot of people but mainly
Hindu gathered at the statue with
offerings of flowers, rice, and colored powders. The statue, which rests in the middle of a small rectangular
pond, depicts Vishnu reclining in a bed of snakes.
I was lucky the day that I was there I had the opportunity to I see

Bouddhanath Stupa
Bouddhanath
Stupa is a world heritage site is a 36 meter high and
located about 7 km east of
Kathmandu. Is one of the largest stupas
in South Asia. It stands on a massive mandala style platform, the
stupa was built during the 5th century A.D.is the focal point of
the Tibetan Buddhism, in
Bouddhanath area There are more than 45 Buddhist Monasteries and a lot of shops, and restaurants. The history
of the stupa starts back in 1950s When refugees entered Nepal from
Tibet and many of them decided to live around

Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath temple is
one of the most largest Hindu temple
and many people said that is the most sacred Hindu temple of the world.
It is located on
the holy river Bagmati, 6 km east of
Kathmandu. The temple was built long before the Christian
religion begin. Thousands of Hindus come each
year from South Asia
and it is the Hindu's
center where many festivals take place. The Lord Shiva's golden
temple
has build with four silver doorways. A lot of fakirs and yogi there are
everywhere in the temple and show to the tourist how to meditate.

Swayambhunath Stupa
Is the most
ancient, higher and enigmatic stupa of all in Kathmandu valley,
Swayambunath is also called
as the Monkey Temple. The pilgrim's route is a steep stone staircase of more than 300 steps. was built in 250 B.C. Is located at 3
km west of Kathmandu city.
Swayambunath
stupa is listed under world
heritage sites by UNESCO. Swayambhu, means 'Self-Created, this is a legend of a miraculous
lotus, planted by a past Buddha, the lotus mysteriously radiated a
brilliant light that covered Kathmandu valley at once.

Thamel
Back in tourist Thamel, Thamel is the ride place
to buy your souvenirs from Nepal. The streets here is foul of
local sellers and There are 100s
of shops. The
prices deepens proportionally of the bargain.
Nepali people are excellent traders and they convince you for sure
to buy something.
