one of Londons famous landmarks is found at the Houses of Parliament,

always been the city centre,
the 320 foot high Clock Tower is named
after the largest bell, weighing over 13 tons, and was cast in 1858
at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in East London.
The bell was named after the first commissioner of works, Sir
Benjamin Hall. The Clock Tower is
the world's largest four-faced, chiming clock.

The Queen's Life Guard
Horse
Guards was originally built to house the Sovereign's Life Guards. It
is still the exclusive official Royal entrance to St.James's and
Buckingham Palaces.
Horse Guards is
named after the troops who have mounted the Queen's Life Guard on
this spot since the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660.
The colourful ceremonial of mounted Guard Changing by the
Queen's Life Guard takes place on the Parade
Ground at Horse Guards daily at 11am.
Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar
Square is located at the heart of London,
is one of the city’s most vibrant open spaces, which rises 52 meters above the
sea level. is one of London great
tourist attractions. A visit to the capital would be incomplete
without going to marvel at Nelsons Column and the four giant lions
at its base. The
Square was laid out in 1829 to 1841 to
commemorate Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
Trafalgar square also contains a large number
of statues and two fountains by Sir Edwin Lutyens, added in 1939.
