India - Varanasi
In General
The holy city of
Varanasi is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Mark
Twain, the English author once wrote: "Benaras is older than
history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks
twice as old as all of them put together". The city of
Varanasi is situated along the west bank of the Ganges in the
north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is the most
important and sacred pilgrimage center for Hindus. The center street of
Varanasi is the favourite
home base for travellers,
and is filled with hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, internet cafes, handicraft
shops and travel agencies.

New Vishwanath Temple
Situated in the premises of
Banaras Hindu University, a modern place of worship planned
by Pandit Malviya and built by the Birlas. Open to all, irrespective
of caste or creed. and is the continuity of Vishwanath temple
one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Organized tours inevitably
bring the tourists to factories where they show handmade
handicrafts.

Holy Varanasi
5.30 a clock in the morning is the best time to take the boat for
a tour in the bank of Ganges the
city of Lord Shiva
it is a place of
great cultural and historical significance. The rhythmic chanting of mantras and hymns along with the
fragrance of incense, fills the air with mysticism. The rhythmic of
Mantras its sounds everywhere all day in the holy Ganges for the people that
meditate and want to constraint all of them energy in
Krishna's mantra. Many old people come to
Varanasi to die so as to ensure an instant route to heaven.
India
Varanasi is associated with promotion of spiritualism,
mysticism, Sanskrit and yoga, and has a different experience to
offer. The gentle waters of the Ganges is full of local and foreign
tourist waiting for the sunrise. The nightly ceremony of thanks and
blessing to the river had begun. A huge crowd watched the
priests to offer a series of prayers to the four directions, often
using fire to illuminate their ritual. The noise of the ceremony is
cleaning your mind and is let this ancient spirit to touch
your soul. For me the journey in India is finish with the best way
in the holy city of Varanasi the place where Buddha preached
his first sermon after enlightenment.
