In General
Delhi is one of the most historical capitals in the
world, is the second-largest metropolis in India after Mumbai with a
population of 13 million. is one city that offers

destination for many travelers. Located in
northern India on the banks of the River Yamuna. Delhi is
separated into an Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capitol of
the Muslim empires between the 17th and 19th centuries New Delhi
was the capitol of the British empire from the 19th century until
independence.
Paharganj
Paharganj area is a
temporary home for thousands of foreign travelers located just west
of the New Delhi Railway Station. It is known for its concentration
of affordable hotels and guest houses for as low as 500 Rs. for a
night.
India Gate
India Gate is one of the most impressive monuments built
in the capital of India. Is built by Edwin Lutyens an English
architect who is known for imaginatively adapting traditional
architectural styles, to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in
the World War I and the Afghan Wars. The gate is 42 meter high and
is located on Rajpath, the road which leads to the Rashtrapati
Bhawan.

Rashtrapati Bhawan
The Viceroy Palace remains the most significant
achievement in Delhi. is the official residence of
the President of India. Rashtrapati Bhawan was designed by
Edwin Lutyens and built on Raisina Hill, is the symbol of the British architecture in
India. The style of this building is a brilliant amalgam of the
Muslim Indian and classical European schools of architecture. Bigger
than the Palace of Versailles It is a masterpiece of symmetry,
discipline, silhouette and harmony.
Safdarjung's Tomb
Safdarjung's Tomb represents the twilight years of Mughal rule in India
it is Delhi's last greatest garden tomb. Is made from buff
colored sandstone and marble accentuating the Moghul style of
architecture.
It was constructed by
Shuja-ud-Daula in 1753-54 AD for his father
Mirza Mukin Abul Mansur Khan.

Jama Masjid
The majestic
Jama Masjid is a masterpiece of architecture, It lies opposite the Red Fort. The Jama Masjid
mosque was begun in 1650 A.D. by the Mughal emperor Shah
Jahan to compliment his palace at the Red Fort and Completed
in 1658, this Mosque has three gateways, Four angle towers and two
40 m. high minarets in the typical Mughal style. It is the
country's largest mosque, where thousands of Muslims offer prayers. When you enter the mosque
take precaution to take off your shoes and make sure that you are
properly dressed before entering.
Shiva Temple
