Wong Tai Sin Temple

The TempleWong Tai Sin Temple is also called Sik Sik Yuen. Is one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong. The Taoist temple established in 1921 and is dedicated to the Great immortal Wong. When Wong Chuping was 15, he began  to follow Taoism. Forty years later, he achieved enlightenment and became immortal. People called him Sik Sik Yuen from then on. The architecture of Sik Sik Yuen is in the traditional Chinese temple style. The temple is located on the southern side of Lion Rock in the north of  kowloon. Inside the temple there also many psychics that they tell in you your future. Annually, from January 1 to 15, the temple receives numerous visitors, such as those whose prayers were answered returning to thank the immortal.

What The New Age Traveler Says...?

The New Age TravelerTourists don’t usually go there, but for me is worth a visit. This Taoist temple is not ancient. As a matter of fact, it was built in 1921. Sik Sik Yuen is very busy, thousands of visitors come to Wong Tai Sin Temple each year, especially during the Chinese lunar New Year. The Sik Sik Yuen Temple complex is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have a long-standing wish that's yet to come true, Sik Sik Yuen Temple is the place that you make an earnest plea to the gods.
