Butterflies Valley located 20 km
from the airport of Rhodes, and is close to
the Village Kalamonas,
On the western side of Rhodes, near
the village of Tholos.
This
Butterflies Valley is home to
thousands of butterflies that flood the valley in order to reproduce.
The Valley of the Butterflies is really
worth a visit. Petaloudes is a unique natural Park, where each year
from June to September, thousands of multicolored butterflies
appear. Sadly, the butterflies have declined in numbers of the years. This is because
of many reasons, but namely because of
visitors disturbing them, as this
Butterflies
are sleep during the day.
The
Park
is a nice place to walk under the shade of the trees,
and to watch streams, waterfalls, and Many
different paths, stairs, and bridges.
