FORBIDDEN CITY

Forbidden CityThe Forbidden City, called gugong, in Chinese used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. In imperial times it was called as the Purple Forbidden City from the association of the emperors with the color of the Pole Star. This name is derived from the fact that it was inaccessible to ordinary people. The first palace was completed in 1420. The complex is huge, covering 961 m from north to south and 753 m from east to west. TAI CHI CHUAN

Tai chi In Tiantan ParkIf you really want to see Tai chi in Beijing you should wake up early in the morning and take a taxi or a bus to go to the parks, that is full of Chinese people that exercise play carts or even talking for hours. I went in (Tiantan Park) in 6 a clock in the morning that it was many old people usually training in Ta chi chuan.Tai chi is usually translated as 'great ultimate' but this does not explain what the words mean. 'Great ultimate' is a reference to the yin yang process of dynamic balancing . Chuan means fist, boxing, or martial art. It was originally a fighting style that uses the philosophy of the grand ultimate. This ancient Taoist martial art is now also employed to promote health and longevity by using slow, flowing movements to develop relaxation, leg strength, and inner power. The  (Tiantan Park) is very beautiful filled with hundreds of trees Some of them are so old as 800 years.

The Great WallThe Great Wall is the ethnic symbol of China and is one of the greatest wonders of the world. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus stretching approximately 6,700 kilometers. A famous folk tale about the Great Wall says "You are not a man if you have not been to the Great Wall." is Chinas most famous and most mythical site. It belongs not only to China, but is part of the cultural heritage of the whole world. The Great Wall was originally built at the Warring States Periods as a defensive point by the three states: Yan, Zhao and Qin. Later on is repairs from the later dynasties. In fact, it began as independent walls for different states an till that Emperor Qin Shihuang succeeded in his effort to have the walls joined together to fend off the invasions from the Mongolians Huns in the north after the unification of China.
