Tiananmen Square
TIAN ' ANMEN SQUARE
Tian'anmen Square means 'The Square of the Gate of
Heavenly Peace. Was built in the 15th Century and restored in the
17th Century. Is
the largest inner-city square in the world that can hold up to a
million people. Standing in Tian'anmen Square is like you stand in
the heart of China. Thousands of people come to the Square
every day where they can visit Tiananmen
Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes and Mao Zedong Memorial Hall. It
is the must place to visit in
Beijing City. The Square was the front door of the Forbidden
City. The tower has five doors and in
front of it are seven bridges spanning a stream. And only the
emperor could use the central door and bridge.

What The New Age Traveler Says...?
Beijing
Tian'anmen Square.
Tian'anmen Square
is the biggest square I have never see on my
life, <an till now>. In the middle of Tiananmen Square
sits the Renmin Yinxiong Jinian Bei, or Monument to the People's
Heroes.
You can visit the square freely until 10.30pm at night.
You can often buy a ticket
to go up to the balcony from which the leaders address the people.
Everyday during sunrise and sunset, you
can see the ceremony of raising and lowering the national flag at
Tiananmen Square. For me Tiananmen
Square is one of Beijing’s
best landmarks..
